2020 Annual Appeal

We can’t do it alone… we need your support! Become a proud supporter of The Open Link. Keep reading to find out how you can contribute to our 2020 Annual Appeal.

Dear Upper Perk Neighbor,

You (yes, you) make our community a better place!  Without you there wouldn’t be a food pantry, education classes, Meals on Wheels, domestic violence and employment counseling, and the list goes on.  All these services are free and available to those in need right here in our community.  A refuge for those who need a heand up – and that’s thanks to your generosity!

While we wish we could share all their stories, we want you to hear from Ashley (name changed to protect her identity).  Ashley reached out to The Open Link this year when she couldn’t find a way out of an abusive relationship.  One night she literally packed up her children and left with just the clothes on her back.  Thanks to you, we were able to find her a place to stay and provide food, clothing and car repairs that put her and her children on the road to a better life.

“Thank you for caring about my family.  I had nowhere else to go and now we’re all safe and in a much better place.” – Ashley

You make this work possible!  Please give to our 2020 annual campaign today.  Your neighbors thank you for your kind support when they need it most.

Here are a few ways for you to lend a helpful hand:

  • $100 can provide 4 complete holiday dinner boxes for families in need.
  • $250 can pay for a week of high school equivalency instruction.
  • $500 can help keep 2 local families stay warm this winter
  • $1,000 can deliver 10 carts full of groceries to disabled seniors’ homes.

“Thank you to all the staff and volunteers for your kindness to those, including me, who are in need of your help.  I couldn’t get to my doctor’s appointments without you.” – Sharlene of Pennsburg, Transportation Assistance client.

Your caring donation of any amount helps give UPV residents of all ages the chance to thrive, no matter their circumstances.  That’s something we can all get behind!
